In Tamil, "Magizhchi" (மகிழ்ச்சி) means Joy & Happiness. Our mission is to transform loneliness and hardship into joy, security, and self-respect. Moved by the silent suffering of abandoned, destitute, and neglected elderly women across rural Tirunelveli District, Sr. Annathai .V founded Magizhchi Illam Old Age Home under the registered charitable organization New Born Trust (Govt. Reg. No: 13/2020). What began as a heartfelt mission to rescue vulnerable grandmothers from loneliness and homelessness has grown into a sanctuary of hope, healing, and joy in Achambadu, Aanaikulam.
More than an administrator, Sr. Annathai .V is a devoted daughter to every resident in the home. From personally supervising fresh South Indian meals in the kitchen and assisting with daily wound dressing and blood pressure checks, to combing their hair and sitting beside them in evening prayer and laughter, her hands-on leadership ensures that every grandmother experiences peace, security, and cherished family warmth in her golden years.
